Let me dance - viral video for MyBallet social media

Watershed was contacted by MyBallet with regards to a social media training session in November 2015. The Bridport class had just recorded a short film with local filmmaker Justin Owen. Part of the social media training session included how to upload videos to Facebook.

The MyBallet Facebook page, at the time, only had around 100 likes. We uploaded the video as a post on 6th November. Within a week, it had a million views and reached close to 2 million people worldwide. To date, the video has 2.5m views and reached a total of 7.6m people.

We continue to help MyBallet with social media and website support, and are currently looking at the possibility of developing an online learning platform to expand the business internationally.

Let me dance

An empowering ballet class with dance tutor and choreographer Carla Steenkamp Sheills. Thank you to the London Symphony Orchestra for permission to use this recording of Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet Dance of the Knights. Filmmaker: Justin Owen.
