Having worked with the Somerset Rivers Authority on a number of smaller design projects, along with some video work, we were commissioned by Somerset County Council to produce the Authority’s 2018-19 Annual Report.
The work needed to be completed to a very tight schedule, so we quickly set about creating a structure for the document, working to a strict grid system. Sitting down with the client and going through progress at regular intervals meant that the finished report met board meeting deadlines and was signed off on time.
The key aim of the Annual Report was to make the work done by the Authority easily understandable and accessible to a wide audience in Somerset. Flooding has been a widely discussed (and sometimes controversial) subject in the county. The SRA was set up to be as transparent and informative as possible. This Annual Report effectively illustrates all the work the SRA has commissioned, overseen or undertaken. They are very pleased with the finished report and we hope to be able to help produce the 2019-20 Annual Report.
